Low growing late flowering plant suggestions
I've got a bed to plant up that is about 20cm to 30cm deep. I would like to fill it with plants that flower late in the year, are no more then 20cm high and are well loved by form of wildlife. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Some heathers are coming into flower.

I too think late flowering Heathers would be a good bet. There are also Cyclamen, Autumn Crocus, and the low-growing Michaelmas Daisies.
Visiting your garden centre now will help, as they will now have displays of late flowering plants.

Sedum spectabile is good and not that big, although it is taller than 20cm.
