| | | Climbers that give Bird Cover I have just had the most horrible Leylandii hedge removed and fencing installed. I am now wanting to plant climbers that will give my garden birds cover when they come to the feeders (Sparrowhawk visits). I have patience, not looking for and instant 'thug' but I am afraid I am getting a bit overwhelmed with all the choices of climbers. Would be good if the bees could be given some consideration as well. Oh, and nearly forgot, what would be pleasing to the eye for us as well.
Any advice would be very much appreciated. |

| | | Re: Climbers that give Bird Cover There is a very good answer to this in a previous thread...Search for the
Thread..''.Spacing climbers along a fence.''...No..2 post by Cotham Marble
and actually the whole thread is informative and might help you.
Hope this helps..Posie

trouble is, you've sparked me into doing something silimar, and this wasn't on my ajenda, But, HeyHo, it'll mean even more time flying round like a blue-bottomed fly..
Would be nice if you continued the thread with updates, with PHOTOS of course, we'd all be interested.. Posie.. |

Will gladly update with photos when I have made some progress - I already have the 'befores' just cant wait for the 'afters' now. I may be gone some time, but I will certainly get back at some point.
Thanks again |

| | | Re: Climbers that give Bird Cover How about one of the species of honeysuckle? Easy to grow, flowers that attract all sorts of moths including Hummingbird hawk Moth and berries to feed the Blackcaps and others in the winter.
It's easy to control, too. |
