Advise regarding setting up a bog garden?

I would like to create a bog garden, and have a few questions which I hope someone can help with.

1. When is the best time of year to set up a bog garden? (I was thinking of starting in the autumn)
2. Does a bog garden need a lot of sunlight? (The spot I am contemplating is mostly shady)
3. My garden is on a slope, with a garden pond, and I was thinking of siting the bog garden below the pond, where the ground is naturally damp. Is this the right kind of idea?
4. I have some pvc left over from the pond, so thought I would use that. Yes?
5. Assuming a shady spot is ok for a bog garden, what plants would you suggest?

Creating and Maintaining Bog Gardens
You can have it in sun or shade. This website will hopefully give you some advice. It's pretty easy to do and autumn is a perfect time! Good luck!
