Monarda question

Is Monarda - Bergamot one of those plants which if dead-headed keeps flowering?
I have had a lovely display but can only see a few more buds.

Not in my experience but then I've not really tried it! I suspect that like many other perennial labiates, if you chop the plant down, water and feed it, with any luck you might get a second bloom before the autumn .... just maybe.
PS: I prefer to leave seeds on to feed the wildlife.

Not in my experience - it blooms fairly late anyway in my bog garden, but if you leave the seed heads, it seems to self-seed fairly easily - its cropping up all over the place. Looks good dried as well.

Dead-heading Monarda may not encourage repeat-flowering, but it will keep the plant looking tidy until all flowering is finished.
