Gypsophila likewise, Chrysanthemums, all Sedums ..... you could even try some roses - carpet ones and miniatures.
I have some very hot, dry sites in my gardens and these are plants that grow well there.
You mentioned Verbenas - V. rigida is gorgeous and would be right at home there. |

I tried roses as I love them, I did something wrong and lost them, they dont like me so I gave up trying them.
I have some oxeye daisy in the back that I spread round the garden after it has flowered this is another that will fill a gap there.
I like the wild look so I cram as many as I can into a small space. |
