| | | Monty Don I didn't know until a couple of days ago that Monty was back fronting Gardeners World. It was great to see him back last night, but one surely must feel a little sorry for Toby Buckland.

| | | Re: Monty Don There's something about Monty that reminds me of a verger.....
shaking hands with parishoners on a Sunday morning...'see you at the plant sale on Thursday...?
Seriously though, i hope it was Toby's decision to step out, and he wasn't pushed... he brought a 'maty-ness' to the programme, which is possibly what the BBC didn't like..

| | | Re: Monty Don I looked it up and Toby was sacked - wasn't all that keen on him but I feel that this was unwarrated. I had just picked up a recycled copy of Monty's book about the making of his garden (co-written by his wife) so it's interesting to see it on TV, but it seemed to me that it was 'finished' so not sure what the programs will cover.
As a flat dweller I wish they owuld do a little on houseplants
