| | | Sunflowers I have a patch of plants which have grown from dropped bird seed.
There are around 20 sunflowers growing in this patch, all have flowerheads developing and one of the flowers fully opened yesterday (24/9/2010).
I'm wondering though , isn't it a bit late for sunflowers and will they die off when we start to get frost ?
Here are some pictures
The tallest one is 4 feet 4 and will be next to flower, and the one which is now flowering is 4 feet high. That one has 3 flower heads. The others are between 2 - 3 feet high just now. |
