| | | Re: My Garden Hi Gaz and a warm welcome to WAB
Not sure how you post a blog on WAB exactly but if you go into your profile at the top of the main forum page then look to the panel on the left at the bottom you will see blogs highlighted in green have a look around there and see how you get on....hopefully some member who knows just what to do will also read your thread and be able to help you further if your still finding difficulties?!? All the best with the blog and your new wildlife reserve!
Jez

| | | Re: My Garden No probs & hope you get on well with blogging! I haven't tried blogging as yet but have had equal success with uploading photo's of projects in progress/ advice and members saying how they like what they see, from simply posting a thread just as another consideration, but I certainly enjoy reading other members blogs though none I read are WAB related come to think of it!

To be honest i was hoping to just post my progress on a thread in this section...Would you think that this would be ok?...I only ask,as in some other forums ppl can get quite upset if you post in the wrong section ...thx again |

| | | Re: My Garden Hi gaz, your in the right thread and can post your progress here. Some other members have their own web page that they can show by providing a link. Either way look forward to reading about your progress and welcome to WAB

| | | Re: My Garden Ok thanks blackbird
Here goes....like i said i moved last feb into my new home,my house is basically surrounded by fence and lleylandii tree's,i dont have the conventional front and back gardens,it just goes all the way around lol(make sense?)...the gardens consisted of grass and chippings, although what we call the back did have a Pyracantha and a californian lilac in it,which isnt a bad start i suppose .
The first job i took on was to renew the old fencing, and put up some trellises, dig my pond and start planting for wildlife. Here's a few photo's of what ive done so far..
Ive got more photo's to put up,but im not sure if ive done it the correct way,so ill play safe and wait for some feed back, thx.

| | | Re: My Garden Welcome aboard. The photos look alright to me so you've hit the right buttons there (I'm still struggling).
Should be interesting to see the progress and what comes to the garden as the different stages are finishedand plants get established.
We moved in 7 years ago and as the house was new we also had a blank canvas but its only a small garden so we were restricted to just a few plants, climbers around the ugly 6ft fence ,and feeding. It still excites us to get a new bird in the garden (40+ species landing in the garden so far) so its definitley worthwhile.
Keep us posted. |

I know what you mean, this is the first time ive ever fed the birds this winter,im amazed at what birds came into my garden, birds id only seen on tv/pictures,which is strange considering the garden i grew up in!
Heres a few more photo's(if your struggling to get photo's up,ive got a really simple way to resize them with windows ) |
