Goldfinches *******!

Very pretty they may be, but I wish they would 'naff orf' and give the other birds a look in! I counted twenty to thirty of the 'liitle divvils' at the feeders. Cheers, Tony

There are people like me who get excited when we have a goldfinch or two! We just have to accept that when we feed birds we can't pick and choose which ones

They are a bit bossy, but they usually stick to the nyger and sunflower hearts in my garden leaving the other feeders free for the sparrows, tits etc.

They tend to squabble amongst themselves rather than with the other birds.

Chaffinches don't stand a chance I'm afraid but the bossiest I've ever seen are young bullfinches who chase everything in sight off the feeders

I enjoy the Goldies in our garden

Infact i enjoy this time of year,im lucky enough to come home for my lunch everyday and the activity at the moment is amazing,in a half hour spell i watched 15+ Goldfinches Sqabilling with 7 Greenfinches 3 Bluetits 2 Greattits 1 Blackcap 7 starlings 4 doves 1 Robin 2 Blackbirds and 2 Pigeons!!

I didnt know which way to look first!
