Wildlife pond

Well i've decided to finally start digging out the pond but i have a few questions.

Firstly the only space i have is a 6x6ft gap in the corner if the garden between the shed and fence, it's gets a good amount of sunlight in the morning but not for very long, will this be a big problem?

And also how deep should i make it? I was think of maybe 2-3ft in the middle and getting shallower towards the edges.

It's not ideal, but should be OK, certainly better than no pond at all

A max. depth of 40-50cm should be adequate. Make most of the pond shallow, gently sloping to the deepest point.

I didn't think it would be a good postion, prehaps i should move the shed?
