| | | Scruffy Blackbird! There is a blackbird that has started visiting our garden and to say he/she is scruffy is an understatement! It looks as though he has been dragged through the proverbial hedge backwards, feathers all over the place.
There has been no visiable preening done, if it has there has been no improvement and the state of the feathers doesn't seem to restrict his flying. Anyone come across this before, or any theories? Cheers, Tony. |

| | | Re: Scruffy Blackbird! I used to have Roller Canaries and going through the moulting process, feathers everywhere. Poor little thing's were stressed out, had to be careful of any sudden noises, which can cause them to get stuck in a moult.
But once out of the moult, boy could the (cock) canaries sing, sometimes at there best. Beautiful little things. |

| | | Re: Scruffy Blackbird! Thanks for those replies, I shall watch him/her with interest. Why doesn't my 'quick reply (quill pen)' work? Or my smilies?
Cheers, Tony. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
