| | | Re: Mowing the Lawn We get hundreds of them, I don't think I've sliced one yet - possibly because I don't cut the grass short enough to chop the smallest ones: the rest seem to get out of the way ..... I don't move very quickly! |

| | | Re: Mowing the Lawn Last year I was sitting at the table in the garden while OH was mowing the lawn suddenly something big hit the fence across the garden at speed..
The we found half a frog in the place the mower was
We now scout the lawn before to mower gets on it I heard if you keep the grass short they don't hide so readily in it.

We have four legged lawn mowers - guinea pigs They had the run of our little back garden last year, but this year we've had to put them in a large run due to the addition of an over inquisitive dog. So they mow the lawn section by section now, and chuck a bit of fertiliser on it at the same time And much more frog friendly, although ours (frogs) tend to come out more in the evening and night. |

| | | Re: Mowing the Lawn I found a poor legless frog the other year that just made it back to the old pond - and I don't mean it was drunk. It's a nightmare this time of year with the hundreds of froglets around but like Paul I raise the blades.
I still see that poor frog every time I mow..... gulp.
