My granny had a hollyhock - just the one; I used to wait for it to flower so I could watch the bumblebees with their baskets. |

Just one exception though, double flowering Hellebores, which still give the bees that early spring nectar. Though at the cost I'm in no hurry to rush out and buy some! |

The previous owner of my house seemed to like double-flowered everything so I'm still stuck with a camellia and peony with double flowers but I can't quite bring myself to dig up thriving plants. Wouldn't buy any, though.
