| | | Re: In my garden Lovely thread. My garden has so many bees of various varieties. The lizards are active. I haven't seen any frogs or toads yet. The foxes and badgers were very vocal last night, and this morning the seagulls and doves are doing their usual trick of shouting down the chimneys. I've been seeing lots of butterflies, and loads of greenfly. All the usual birds.
A profusion of flowers everywhere, cherry and apple blossom, laburnum, white spirea, white and mauve lilac, honesty, periwinkle, berberus, blue pagoda-like flowers on the ajuga rutens, forget-me-nots, heather, wallflowers, primroses, cowslips, bluebells, red valarian, buds on the azalias, celandine, japonica, wisteria, dicentra.
And sunshine.

Some of the wildflowers were planted from pots augmented with some sown seeds, the seedlings are just coming out now so can't wait to see what we have!
The pond isn't brilliant (just a very small hard plastic liner) so in the Autumn we are planning a proper pond (don't want to disturb the froggies yet!).
Great to see the shots from other peoples gardens keep up the good work ! |
