At a guess, keep chucking water on shaded logs ?
I remember helping a friend get some logs for firewood. The logs had been covered over with plastic sheeting. When we pulled the plastic off, it was like, Wooaaaah, fungi city, like some animation from a scene in a sword and sorcery film. |

To be honest, I've only ever seen one, at Stave Hill Ecology Park in London. It seemed to be just a load of woodchip spread out in the shade of a few trees, but I'm sure there was more to it than that.
You could post a thread on the Fungi forum, I'm sure you'll get some advice there. Failing that, contact TRUE, who run Stave Hill: http://www.urbanecology.org.uk/index.html
