I'm just hoping I can control them a little by pruning and generally staying on top of them so that they don't go too crazy ....
I guess being a south facing garden the issues of shade won't be too much of a rpoblem, but yes, I'd beware, you wouldn't want to upset the neighbours!

| | | Re: Garden Trees Too big? The flagpole cherry can be a good choice where ground space is limited...Also silver birch has a nice open canopy that lets light through. We have a fairly compact back garden and we have got apples trained as espaliers to the walls .
