| | | Re: Abelia grandiflora Found this for you Suzie and any other members who wish to do there bit for our declining Bee Populations UGA Honey Bee Program - Pollination - Plants for Year-Round Bee Forage
Though I do not see Koelreuteria Paniculata amongst the list. I have a very young tree which I planted In my Garden. It's a very attractive small tree when fully grown (10 x 10m) and is also a good Bee Plant and has great Autumn colour.

| | | Re: Abelia grandiflora I bought Abelia grandiflora "Hopleys" which I hope will be good for bees this summer. I have also recently bought Abelia chinensis as this is supposed to be good for butterflies. |

| | | Re: Abelia grandiflora I don't recall butterflies on my Abelia, but I can confirm it's very popular with bumblebees. |

| | | Re: Abelia grandiflora Which Abelia do you have, aeshna? The grandiflora is supposed to be good for bees and the chinensis, which has a different type of flower, is supposed to be the one which is good for butterflies. Now I have both. |

Always good to learn of new plants to attract butterflies- just hope I get more than last year, which was the worst season I've had! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
