I've just planted my Hawthorn (actually three, I snuck two in the front garden while the OH's back was turned  ). I love getting out there and feeling the soil between my fingers.
Still need to do some pruning though.

| | | Re: hedges planting pruning I need to plant more blackthorn so when the frost has gone I plan to dig out some of my existing hedging plants (mainly the hawthorn will go, I think) and replace it with blackthorn.
If anyone wants any hawthorn let me know, there will be a few plants going begging. |
