As you can see, this garden is a work in progress. My first project is to put native hedging plants across the bottom where the double gates are and also partway down the left handside as you look at the picture. I Also plan to fill in the gaps on the right side with the same plants. This will serve a dual purpose of creating privacy and stopping intruders/escapees as well as being wildlife friendly.

My garden 20 years ago contained one solitary apple tree. I had plans and they developed as yours will. My garden is long and narrow too and this is how it developed. The apple tree is hidden behind the silver birch. It grows quicker than you think keep posting toshow its development
