| | | Hedge Planting I think I have done my maths correctly. 250 trees needed for a new hedge to be planted in Naomi's garden!
Planting suggestions please

| | | Re: Hedge Planting I take it these are to be bare rooted? a staggered double row will give good thickness and if you angle the whips (ie don't plant upright) you will get more upright shoots a quicker hedge in effect

| | | Re: Hedge Planting Thanks all for your help & advice!
Was thinking of planting the bulk with Hawthorn, then diversifying the rest with beneficial insect/bird/Squirrel loving plants aswell as hoping to make the most out of fruit trees in the hedgerow. So two more questions;-
1. How many Hawthorn do you think I should plant roughly?
2.Once a Leylandii gets felled ( giving more light to the situ), do you think Naomi will be able to plant in Field Maple, in a westly posistion under a canopy of Ash Hazel, Lime & Oak?
Thanks In advance
Jez
