| | hedgehog in my garden I've had a hedgehog living in my garden for 2 years and want to make sure it's happy. However I need to replace some decking and wonder if it will disrupt the hedgehog too much if it's hibernating anywhere under the wood. As my garden is quite small would it be a good idea to make a hut or den as an alternative? Any advice greatly appreciated.
thanks. |

Unfortunately it's a case of needs must and making a den for your hoggy Is going to be the best & most thoughtful thing you can do, if you have the know how! You can make a temp coupe similar to a chicken pen or build a hoggy house, once your hedgehog finds it to be suitable and cosy (as they can be easily pleased in shelter) you should have no problems!
I'll do what I can to find a good link page!

| | Re: hedgehog in my garden Thanks very much, Jez and Deer Boy for your helpful info. I'll look forward to making a den for the critter, and who knows, it may attract other hedgehogs!
