| | | Garden from scratch I was going to wait until I'd got the before and after pictures sorted out before doing this thread (well the before pics anyway as the after hasn't happened yet! ) but still waiting for the camera disc back so i can upload them
I now live in a mobile home about two miles outside Bewdley in a lovely wooded valley and with the river Seven at the bottom of the field. It's very beautiful and tranquil not to mention fantastic for wildlife of all sorts.
My garden is quite large and surrounds the mobile home. There is a stream running through it which leads into the river and I spend rather too much time just sitting listening and watching it. The rest is ready for doing things with. So far I have cleared the mountain of rubbish that was there and had two huge leylandii type trees felled. There are some more of these, smaller than the huge two, that I also need to fell but should be able to do these with a bowsaw. Then I have to remove some paving slabs - some of which can be used as a base for the shed.
Other jobs to do rotavate, get some rush screening up until I can plant some native hedging in October, landscape a little, build a pond, build some willow raised beds for veg etc and put in lots of native wildflowers! Oh and I also want to build a bread oven...in the shape of a squirrel ...make a log shed and a compost heap and there are bound to be other things that I've forgotten to mention!
So really it's going to be a wildlife garden with some raised willow beds for veg The wildlife here is really great and I really want to enhance it and make a detailed list of everything that comes here - so might need the help of an insect person at some point as i'm not so good on insect id...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated now before I really get started on the project
OOPs - just noticed posted on wrong forum..so now going to wait until a mod comes on to ask them to move it tot he right one!!!
