| | | Re: Go Wild In The Garden Thanks for letting us know about this event sweet pea.
I went along today and was pleased that I did. I was able to buy some plants that I have been searching for: Devil's-bit Scabious for only £1 each. Arranged to collect some more logs for a couple of new log piles too.
An hour well spent prior to a lovely walk in warm sunshine!

I was so pleased with mine last year as i'm sure you will be also Polly. By the way i managed to get Cirsium Rivulare which i'm very pleased with, just wish the insects would visit it and not just the lungwort around it! Oh well early days yet

Oh well early days yet | I have heard that it is well worth taking out the first flower of Cirsium Rivulare as it encourages the plant to bush up and produce far more flowers as a result.
My three plants are still in tight bud but when they grow a bit more I thought that I would experiment by taking out the first flowers of two of the plants and leaving one just to see what difference it makes.

| | | Re: Go Wild In The Garden I was there too today with the family. I didn't buy any plants (I think I have all of them already!!!) but I did get some good tips on making cheap bee houses. |
