The majority of mole workings visible in fields is carried out by the males, the female prefers to stay close to field edges and hedgerows or in the edge of woodland.

I have 6 running right now, in a line at the base of a hedge bordering the formal lawn. Placed about 25yards apart, the moles stay their side of the hedge and the lawn stay's pristine. | it does Kayleigh, which is the reason I offered the above advice, earlier in this thread.
and if sparrowlegs payed more attention while he/she was stalking me, he/she would have realised this.

| | | Re: How to.....Humanely get rid of Moles We have had a mole in residence for about six months and our lawn now resembles a lunar landscape.I have tried one of those battery operated mole repellers but he is not repelled,he just goes in ever decreasing circles round the garden. Will try the wine bottles,I guess once I've worked on emptying the bottles I won't care what the mole does to the lawn!! |

| | | Re: How to.....Humanely get rid of Moles Having read a chapter on Elder in a book Tree Medicine Tree Magic by Ellen Evert Hopman there is a long list of practical uses and by decocting the leaves of Elder you can make a natural insecticide which repels aphids and caterpillars. To fend of mosquito's crush and rub leaves on the face or a hat. An infusion of fresh leaves is a mosquito gnat repellent when worn on the skin and also repels mice and moles when poured into their holes! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
