Over Christmas we bought a bird box and three cameras... Two tiny radoi linked ones and one somewhat larger wire linked one..
We've now got a blue tit investigating the box... Spends a lot of time removing some of the wood shavings that were supplied..
This is viewed by one of the radio cams..
The wired in cam has been stuffed into an old piece of gutter down pipe and placed in various parts of the garden always viewing the peanuts which are put out nightly for the Badgers...
This camera and the radio cam are linked to the VCR and I tend to fast forward through each morning to see the night's visitors...
The Badger, only one at present, a large boar, arrives around 2 am.. Then the fox, again a male although we've had three foxes at once, and last year four badgers... Just hope that they are not being culled here... (New Forest)
We also have a tiny little mouse which is so quick we cannot identify exactly whst it is and a somewhat larger one which is peobably a field mouse.??
They clean up after the Badger and Fox...
Yesterday one the neighbours cats came into view... walked along our patio as bold as brass...
Now I'm fine with moggies but do get annoyed when their owners disclaim all responsibility for the.. Don't want to fall out with the owners (on all Sides !!) I suppose that domestic cats are protected by some old law ??
Wonder what would happen if I had some large creature which destroyed the neighbourhood 'cause I couldn't control it...
It's not really the crapping in the garden but the prowling rouond after all the Blackbirds (Lots of them this year), the thrushes (not that many), the Goldfinches (A couple of pairs), Greenfinches, Chaffinches, Bullfinches,Sparrows Dunnocks, Robins, and all the Tits including a flock of Long tailed,,,, That bothers me..
We of course supply the local Sparrowhawk with his (or her) daily sustenance sometimes but that's nature and although it's distressing we'd be overrun with blue tits if he wasn't around..
Anyway we spend a lot of time watching the birds and do get annoyed by the neighbouring cats..
Ho Hum mayby after watching the orpan elephant programs that what we should get..

Or is it a case for a silenced rifle and the septic tank!!!
Oh BTW the supplier of the kit seemed a nice enough bloke for a South African had quite a few chats with him and he was helpful
He's on
