| | | Re: Dog roses I think your seeds will work and I agree with you about growing things from seed. It is very satisifying to achieve a plant from a tiny seed. The rose hips are lovely.Birds love them.See egrow sales for any extra plants. Very best wishes. Egro.

| | | Re: Dog roses I grew one by accident in a pot where I was growing tree seedlings. It must have been an extra seed which had got there by accident from the seed supplier or naturally. It grew quite fast. These seedlings were outside, so were over wintered. As for stratification in the fridge, I have never had much success with this, because they tend to rot off.
