| | identification of a plant could anyone please identify this plant? i thought it was probably fron the garlic family because the flowers are similar and also the smell is quite strong of garlic but i am not sure. |

| | | Re: identification of a plant Just a single bloom without any leaf or guide as to height make it very difficult to ID plants. Can I ask when it was taken and where abouts in the country. If you have a shot showing leaf and or stem it would help.

| | | Re: identification of a plant Looks a bit like the flower of a snowbell (three cornered garlic). Is the plant cultivated or wild and is it in the south west ? Another picture might help as there are quite a few alliums (garlic family)............Jon |

I'm interested in identifying this as well, as I have a large-ish mat of them outside my front door and would like to find out more  Here are more details (I'm 90% certain that this is the same as the flower seems to match perfectly). It's a low plant - ~6"-1'. Flowers are ~1" max & this is in Oxfordshire.

| | | Re: identification of a plant This is Spring Starflower - Tristagma uniflora - it is quite commonly grown in gardens and occasionally escapes. It is often grown under the name Ipheion uniflorum. |
