| | | Jam making Are there any other jam makers in the forum? I'm a keen jammer - if that's what you call 'em - I've made gooseberry, rhubarb, blackberry (lots), mulberry, greengage and all manner of combinations thereof.
Obviously the most enjoyable/rewarding jams are where I obtain fruit from the wild (being careful to leave a good supply for the wildlife!).
Anyone got any good recipes or ideas for adding a zap to my (rather bland) repetoire?
Hmm, no picture... Oh well, try the link.

Forum Image Code for the photo to show in a post.

| | | Re: Jam making my mum who yoused to make the best aprioct jam in the world, she would stone the fruit and break all the stones to get at the inside soft bit, this she would chop up small as she could and add it to the bubbling jam, this gives it a almond nutty flavour and its delish. |

| | | Re: Jam making I've made lots of jam. I had an allotment up until September of this year so there was always an abundance of fruit, especially gooseberries and raspberries. Our favorites in this house however are good old strawberry jam and apricot jam. Nothing beats homemade jams! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
