| | | Wild Herb seeds Hi, Does anyone know if you can buy wild herb seeds or is it best to collect them from the wild. i.e. Mugwort, Vervain, St Johns Wort etc. Does anyone have any experience of growing these in their garden. Cheers

| | | Re: Wild Herb seeds Hi paul...I have a similar thread on this kind of thing..."Wildflower seed donations"
Im trying to get hold of or collect seeds for many wildlfowers but have also been trying to get seed of things like wild thyme or wild marjoram/oreganum...i see so called "wild or englaish thyme" plants in garden centres but the latin names dont match the native one?...im very keen for the marjoram for the many butterflies it attracts...i checked some today and here in the south east its looking like its going to set seed soon...im not sure how easy they will be to collect but ill let you know and if i get enough spare i can send you some? |

| | | Re: Wild Herb seeds 1 more thing i feel i should mention is that i created my Wild Herbaceous border with plugs rather than seeds as this guarantees better sucsess if you just want flowers! It's a more expensive option but not so hit & miss than sowing seed which may lead to poor results. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
