I have a rose-of-sharon and it has flowered but where the flowers have died there are buds inside...does this flower again??

What happens to the buds now then??

I reckon Tiggrx is right, you're probably seeing the fruiting bits. I've not known Rose of Sharon to flower twice in one season.

All I can find out about it ,is that it is a native of Turkey.
The flowers are recommended for Bees, so that's a good thing - the Bees need all the help they can get.
