| | | Fox versus Cat
A young fox came loping up the garden this morning. It was mobbed by two crows, but didn't seem bothered. Then it crossed the lawn until my cat saw it. She is a grand old lady nearly 18 years old, but she went for the fox with her fur all puffed up and bristling. Fox turned tail and ran for his life with cat in hot pursuit. She chased him all the way down the garden and then sauntered back as calm as you like to sit in the sun and wash her paws.

Game set and match to the cat | The fox is probably aware that the cat has a whole bunch of sabres in each paw and has experienced them before!
