| | | Re: WAB Members' Garden Photos O.K. Here is my first attempt, of pics from my 'secret garden'.
All are taken from the gateway in. The first pics where taken on an ordinary camera and some from an upstairs window, to get the full horror of what I was about to attempt. they have yet to be developed.
First pic here is from the gate looking east. The green you can see is all brambles

Yiikes.... I'd give the M.O.D a call and see if you can borrow a flame thrower
All the best to you I wish you lot's of luck with what ever plans you have celt, though a total transformation will be worth it's wait in gold when you can sit back and see the rewards of all your hard labour!!!!
& I thought I have a mission (which I do) on Tufftie's garden.

| | | Re: WAB Members' Garden Photos This is along the back of the house and the first bit I tackled.
A view towards the back and the path I found a full spade depth down.
Dig the crazy tree !
A view of the church, maybe I should go in there for some guidence ?
Halfway there, first compo heap, tho nothing to put in it bar brambles ! onions and garlic planted. I may cut a walkthrough tunnel through the brambles in the far right corner just for a laugh.
Started this about october diong 2/3 hours about 4 days a week using secateurs and a spade. |

| | | Re: WAB Members' Garden Photos If I were you I would use a scythe or a machine to cut all the rough stuff down, burn it and then hire a rotavator to turn the lot over. They are not too expensive to hire and would save you hours and hours of your time.
Looks like an excellent sized plot though.
Good Luck

| That looks very interesting celt. What's the story behind it? Why "secret"?

Good Luck | Hi Ron, If it were my garden, I would. The landlady who owns it is in her eighties, and its not certain what will happen to the place. I may lose it tomorrow ! I just chill out there, and take it day by day.
By the way, the only way I find this page is through a post in wildlife gardening, on a thread called 'back gardens' and follow a link.
