Colin | Don't let Jenny send you any - believe me, you don't want them. All those lovely flowers would vanish in an instant. I'm growing a lot of bare stalks at present and they made an attack on the netting that we thought was protecting the beans while we were on holiday
The garden is great. You've really made the most of the space you have. |

| | | Re: WAB Members' Garden Photos Here's a 'different' planter. I had an Aloe which just kept growing - I call it my Triffid!
I took two large commercial tree containers, 32 inches diameter, turned one upside down for a base. Put the other one on top , bolted them together through the bottom. Cut some lengths of rough wood ( as used on fence panels. )Screw them on ( screw through them and into the plastic), then a couple of copper bands to finish them off. The planter is 42 inches high.
Behind the wood is a cavity ( the containers form a 'waisted' cavity). The hole half way down is to make this cavity available for nesting ( I got the idea when a Wren nested nearbye).
In the winter I cover the Aloe with polythene and to date it has survived 3 winters. It has an enormous flower spike.

| | | Re: WAB Members' Garden Photos I've had it for about 6 years. It was in a 12 inch pot when I bought it. A few years ago, I had to break off one of its' fleshy leaves just to get it out of the greenhouse. That's when I made the container for it.
It's a fast growing variety. I think its called Aloe Triffid !
