| | | Blusher To me it is art....not expressive but trying to be informative by showing an object in this case a Blusher without the mass of background colour, just a hint of what is in the background. The emphasis is on the subject rather than the clutter of the background....or has it lost the natural feel to the image.

I think it gives a sort of 3-D effect, especially with the shadow. | The 3-D effect is what I was after, I think it brings it to the foreground slightly more and getting rid of the background colour puts more of an emphasis on the Blusher itself.... to me the background is too busy and distracts from the focal interest of the image... I could have blurred the background more... but all in all I think it gave me what I was looking for... it might not be the way to show fungi as an image but it might make people look at the things a little more closely to see the great colours and shapes that fungi have.
