| | | A La Hockney........ Photographic 'joiners'.
Unlike Hockney's stuck on prints these have been processed in the computer.
They vary between 30 - 100 odd images. Quite time consuming and intense!
Hello to everyone here - I don't think I've visited this section before. I take 'straight' wildlife images but also do art photography.

This is one of his more famous ones- http://www.enseignement.polytechniqu...berg-paris.jpg
And another of mine of the village green -
Thanks for the interest!

| | | Re: A La Hockney........ Ah - changed my mind! The village green is now top of my list - I like the way the chain fence loops across the lower part of the panorama.
The photographer on the ChelseaFlower show is Michael Hallett and he has some of his city scapes on a few websites. Do you dream in 'joiners' |

This lens makes my garden look enormous too LOL (should I have kept that under my hat ) - why estate agents like them.
I'll go and look up that photographer - cheers!

PS - When I write a book I'll start it with 'Last night I dreamt of......... joiners' a la Du Maurier

| | | Re: A La Hockney........ Hello Acher, interesting photomontages. I have been doing similar "work" and have been using photoshop to join the photos into one image. There is a gadget available to do this accurately, gigapan, im guessing on the name, if youve got a few thousand to spend haha. I prefer to have some input, no fun letting the microchips do all the work. Another link i found which started my miltishots was a series of work called Unquiet Thames, 360 panoramas with no joins visible. |

His were prints were hand assembled and stuck on often with deliberate abberations to emphasise certain aspects of the image.
I also like doing panos and montage - it's handy when your camera just won't get it all in! I once did one of climbers on a cliff I came across when I only had my 300mm lens on me - that was fun!
I similar technique when taking the shots but a totally different post processing treatment.
