I almost missed Kayleighs lovely ice sculpture. With the weather likely to turn cold in the next few days, it could be good for some seasonal images

Great paintings always fancied my self as bit of an artist, the only problem is I can not draw or paint I really wish I could.

We are promised snow and I'm hoping it will be the sort we had last winter and not the very wet mush we usually get in London. I'm also hoping to see the lake in the park frozen over again as it was then - I got some great photos including this one of a swan 'ice-breaking' for the coots. The birds obviously hadn't experienced ice like that before...


I did get some video too - if you go onto schoolstube dot com and search videos for birds, you will see a few of mine. The 'birds on ice' is the one , with some rather nice (royalty-free) music by Kevin Mcleod called 'Ice Waltz'. If you click on Download it will display in your media player, choosing Full screen mode isn't as clear....

Haha, thank willingtolearn...but I think you could contribute some nice photo's judging by the ones I have been viewing in the Gallery

That's right Chrissy - you tell 'em! LIke with the Christmas cards thread, some members say they can't do one, and they have the most gorgeous photos in the library that would be perfect, so come on - let's see them

Loripo, so true and you can buy photographic cards from Rymans and Wilkinsons to print them off onto....
I am doing pretty ok with Robin shots, the one that is featured up above is rather tame so quite easy to get a good photo.




But, I bribe him to pose with mealworms

(I see he's ringed - I didn't know anyone ringed robins - why? Also I always think of Robins as 'he'!)

Loripo, he lives on a local wildlife park so I can only assume that they ring as many of their birds as possible to monitor them maybe?
All the images I get from there, the birds are ringed. He does look fat in the that top one doesn't he? In fact, he is just fluffed up because it was so cold..... or perhaps it is all those mealworms, lol
