Not to every ones taste....but hey!! it is just fun and bold.

I am leaving the Island and going into a different line of work so if you are interested in it send me a PM as I am getting rid of most of my artwork as I can no longer carry it around with me, as like the rest of my other works will be burnt at the end of this week, I have it on disc now so the painting is not required by me any longer.
Thanks again for your comments James.

Are you mad? Has my hearing gone funny? Are you mental? Am I losing it?? You're going to what? Burn original artwork? Photos on discs are not collectable when you're famous .... original artwork is ......... excuse me I can just hear Leonardo da Vinci saying he was burning the Mona Lisa cos he couldn't take it to Verona or wherever ...........
Martin for goodness sake come to your senses man
And by the way this particular peice is truly inspirational and would sell - for a lot of money - sell it - give it - place it in care with someone somewhere - but please do not speak about burning again or I shall have to make a 999 call and get myself admitted to a place of safety

Pauline (Just back from almost 3 weeks out in the isles and can't believe what she has read above ????????????) | Fame is not for me Pauline, as for mad...most properly. As for selling never done it as I have no pleasure in doing it, though I did want to try it with someone but that has died a death and, so has my passion with for art, so be it.
My pictures have been taken and held by two of my friends on the Island and they are keeping them for me...or as the case is ....me from them. Have done many ones of Dragon flies and other topics.
Many thanks for the comments though.....all be it rather to the point!!
Though not out of place.....
When you leave a place you have so much " Charlie Roger Alpha Papa" paintings and the like you can always re-do again if you feel so inclined but over the last week or so whilst being away I have had a far greater impression on my life. But hey!!! thems is my demons, if I can help others walk, play and live in safety then every thing I have ever done I walk gladly give away.
If you think you would know anyway of selling my art then give us a PM and I will give it all to my charity of choice.
Many thanks Pauline....allways great to have your comments and ticking offs.
All the best.
Martin

| | | Re: Seahorses fish 'n' shrimps Aww matey - that wasn't a ticking off - that was me in a flat panic trying to stop you from doing something you will regret later I was so stunned and unhappy with the way you were feeling - and yes I won't give up my day job and become a diplomat or a negotiator
As for selling: a shop in a busy seaside town might be willing to display framed prints or originals ....... we even have one in Leigh that displays folks framed work. The other option is your own website and display your stuff there - it can sit there for ever - but at least its on view......
Its been your words ringing in my guilty concience and my threats to begin painting again which you have told me to get on with more than once, that had me buying some coloured fine tip drawing pens the other day - cos I had an idea - and I'm clearing the back bedroom to make space to work in - and its your encouragement that keeps spurring me on - thats why I had such a panic - the thought that you seemed to be giving up just as I was going to restart seemed unfair somehow......... I have got very depressed this past 6 months - giving up work (tho I don't miss the place or the system) I do miss going to 'normal' work - if I was genuinly retired and could organise my day to myself it would be wonderful - but this looking after mam is a huge depressing task cos of her senility and I made the decision last week that I do need to run away into self expression and go back to artwork to save my sanity....
I hope you're ok and the change in your life circumstances is going to be good and I still say the work that spawned this threads title is truly inspirational - its a beautiful peice showing an artist of great promise .....
