Into The Wild

Not sure if this clarifies as art as it's a film (or book) but what the heck. Just wondered if anyone had seen (or read) Into The Wild?

It's based on a true story about a bloke who after graduating in 1990 from University, ceases communicating with his family, gives away his savings of $24,000 to Oxfam and begins traveling, later abandoning his car and burning all the money in his wallet to live off the "fat of the land" in america and eventually alaska.

It's a very good film (i'm sure the book is even better) with great cinematography and a superb story. I thought as it's quite a wildlife based film a lot of people on here may find it interesting, so if you haven't seen it i strongly recommend it as a film worth watching.

I'll second that. I saw the film last year and thought it was excellent. The guy actually did what I often fantasised about doing throughout my [pretty lousy] teenage years!
