One of those black scratch boards with a scalpel as I do not have a proper tool for the job, but the scalpel seemed pretty good for the task in hand.

I have used scratchboards in the past,will have to see if I have any pictures in the boxes in the loft!!

You wont believe this....but after I saw your artichoke pic (which was excellent BTW), I thought how much I'd like to see you do Teasels in pen and ink too!

But you can get some good effects on them....just plain good fun  .

Useful when it came to cricket though  but if I use my left hand to write now it is back to front and can be read in a mirror the right way....
.....very strange!!!
