Frosty teasel....this I am sure of what it is 
One of those black scratch boards with a scalpel as I do not have a proper tool for the job, but the scalpel seemed pretty good for the task in hand.

That's defiantly teasel... I haven't seen one of those scratch boards since a child come on since then by the looks of things very good

Lovely"etching" there Martin
I have used scratchboards in the past,will have to see if I have any pictures in the boxes in the loft!!

Being left-handed, mine used to come out looking very poor, the pen things had the slant the wrong side

I like that Martin. My daughter has done quite a few of those scratch art things over the years.
You wont believe this....but after I saw your artichoke pic (which was excellent BTW), I thought how much I'd like to see you do Teasels in pen and ink too!
Would you do some....just for me??

Useful when it came to cricket though but if I use my left hand to write now it is back to front and can be read in a mirror the right way....
.....very strange!!!
