| | | Aubergine. Pen 'n' ink drawing.
In my friends back garden the other day and saw this attractive looking plant, was then informed of what it was "an Aubergine" so set about drawing it.

Beautiful work, love that purply colour and the quality of the ink drawing. |

I thought when I read the title it was going to be a long purple thing..
I have never seen an Aubergine flower either looks worth growing for the added bonus of the flowers..
Ummmmmmmm
Just done a google and the flowers are different more like a passionflower..Still worth growing might try a couple in the greenhouse..

The flowers look a bit like a purple potato flower IIRC. and aren't very exciting. Aubergines are good to grow, but really need to be grown in a glasshouse. They suffer from red spider mite. You also need to keep them well watered and steadily growing, otherwise the fruit ends up 'boxy' (hollow inside).

Martin. | Oh, that's weird, I took a photo almost identical to that! Well, originally it was not a great photo (bit blurry, I think?), so thought I would do something interesting with it to cover up my mistakes
Your pen and ink drawing is definitely better than my photo!
