| | | Techniques for beginner wanted. Hi guys
Ive recently been inspired from this forum to start drawing some natural history illustrations using pencil. I have only just started thinking about doing this as a hobby and i was wondering if anyone with experience in this genre can give me a few techniques or pointers ( other than practice ) on how to draw animals and plants correctly. I usually struggle with proportions and getting things to appear closer and there's probably many other aspects i haven't ventured into yet. Also one last thing, how much money will i have have to spend on a sketch kit with all the different pencils and things?
Many thanks in advance guys (I'm a poet and i don't even know it ).

I am not so hot at perspective either but its all about practice, good luck

| | | Re: Techniques for beginner wanted. thank you for the reply. Julie jams drawings are lovely and shes the one who inspired me to do this artwork.Ive just received a pencil set with a 2b, b, hb, h ,h2 and a large sketch pad. I have done some drawings already and they are not to bad but they lack detail and that "natural" look. |
