| | | The colour version of the Four spotted chaser
This is what it is really like
Had it scanned rather than the photograph that I used with the B/W much better result...Had not thought of using an A3 scanner outside...
So my apologies for any misleadings but the result from a photo added dark tones and did not quite look right.
But it did look better in B/W so that is why but I know this better and I have also learnt to let the ink dry before applying another layer.
But hey!! I am a learner at this colour stuff
Thanks to you all who looked at the B/W one.....is this better?

It should turn me to using colour with ink a little bit more..
I agree the colour is far better.
Appreciate the comments Nick.

Julie | Thank you Julie.
As said...agree with the colour point, does give it a bit more life.
But still have a ways to go before I can feel confidant about using "ink wash". Plenty of layers till I got to the blue....then I failed to let it dry properly.
Still it is a learning curve, as they say "Nothing ventured nothing gained".
Thanks for your comments Julie always appreciated.

I wounder if I had done them (shown) the other way round would you think the same.
Both do have merits I agree with you, but my failure to scan it with an A3 scanner made me do it in B/W. Well not forced my hand!!
Thanks for your comments Kayleigh.

| | | Re: The colour version of the Four spotted chaser After a fair amount of comparing Martin I have to go for the colour version. To me the coloured one is so much more vibrant you have got the colours spot on. It's much warmer and livelier if that's the right words to use, and it also brings back memories of taking that particular shot.
I still like the black and white and think it's a lovely piece of work but then I'm a colourful sort of person who likes bright colours.

| | | Re: The colour version of the Four spotted chaser I'd be really happy if could do anything anywhere nearly as good as either the B&W or the colour one. If you ever want to try any of my photos I'd be honoured.
