Just some info for anyone who is interested in looking at some stunning paintings which are done on swan's feathers.The artist is a close friend of mine he has never been to art collage,but has taken a keen interest in british widlife all his life,if anyone is interested in viewing his work you log on to Feather Art by Ian Davie | Wildlife scenes hand painted on swans' feathers - Home trust me its worth just having a look at his work,the swan's feathers come from a reserve down south somewere,which he collects from there annual molt,in return of the feathers he donates money to the reserve,so everyone gets something back  |

Just had a look and wow! Just beautiful, I've never seen anything like this before. Must be very tricky trying to paint on a feather, but the results are stunning!

I've heard this subject mentioned before somewhere else .. but never knew who the Artist was ..
I believe the feathers come from the Swannery at Abbotsbury in Dorset ..
What can one say ? ... Stunning just seems so inadequate ...

So how much do these go for then ???? | I paid £450.00 for mine,which was a commision,it was a field of barley stubble with woodpigeon coming in to land on it ,it now stands proud in the hallway.
I guess it depends on what your after mate.  |
