Black Prince....Ink 'n' Pen wash

Ink and pen wash.Tried in colour not very good at thin usage of colour wash so did it in Indian Ink and did in about five layers, then scratched a little white back through the ink.
Mum used to call it a Black Prince, so that is what I call it...hope it is vaguely reconisable..

Hi ther Martin ...you have done well..Im thinkin thats its a clematis...known as the Black prince..possibly scratching out a little more white towards the centre which would have highlighted that area better ...this would have made a better balance with the darker areas..plus a little more work on the surrounded buds would have made they feel and look a little more part of the composition..But hey what do i know...thats just how i would have done it..everybody is different in their approach to capture a piece of Art Work..

Go with that Julie. Do look rather insipid don't they!! think I was trying to indicate that they where there...

should have made a little bit more of them, and the things with the pollen on are a little lost. Next time I will be a little more at attentive.
