Another cross stitch owl.

This is another owl that I completed about 4 years ago. Also, I've added a couple of close ups of the stitches on this one so that those of you who have no experience of the art of cross stitch can see something of how it works.

Very nice too Lyn .. I assume its originally a kit .. with all the coloured threads required being supplied ??

They'd make lovely framed presents for bird lovers ..

A pal of mine does something very similar with Marquetry .. I have one of his pieces of a Grey Heron in my house .. my pal buys the wooden doors for Caravan cupboards, removes the centres & then uses them to frame his work ...

Ron .. You say that .. but another pal of mine who's a retired Coast Guard (and definitely a bloke) ..

has done some fantastic Cross Stitch pieces of Ships etc .. apparently, you can buy a CD which allows you to turn any picture you like into a Cross Stitch pattern on your computer ..

A very good friend of ours made some beautiful window cushions , and he was a real mans man and a retired farmer.

I use to do cross stitch before but stopping it right now because of gettig more busy on my work.I really like angels. The first one i've done is these guardian angel holding a baby and then this very cute little angel which is color blue. It takes time to finish one, but worth it .
