| | | Re: Cross stitch owl. Lyn its perfect , I think your labour of love for this traditional craft is beautiful , such a delicate skill....
Such skills have an obvious connection with the past , I guess thats it about all art we practice the skills which go back generations.... that is something to be proud of.
I need another life to try everything .

Anything you do with you own hands regardless, is your own form of Art, a great deal of patience is required and skill to achieve the end result.
It is a great picture and is something I have no skill in at all, very well done.
I would get my overs mixed with my unders...ish!!
If you have any more do show us...it is a great skill and art, I have and will always keep the Bell pullers my Mum did for me and all the other pictures she did over countless years.

| | | Re: Cross stitch owl. Again, thanks to the last posters for your kind comments about the picture.
Thanks also to Stewy for the fungus id!....I had no idea....I'm not up on that side of wild Britain!
Great that you have kept the bell pulls and other things your mother did, Martin, maybe you will be able to pass them on to another generation too. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
