Hi I have looked for a poem section , thought I saw one a while back. Hope its ok to put on here

Mother Earth

She is up and off
a determined wobble
She can feel the light
Smile back at the moon

She weighs the world
Chooses her fate
Guards the future
Endures the present

She is a queen among queens
The Mother of the Earth


Hope people like it , I wrote it a good while back, a sort of compliment to a poem by Philip Gross

Before I go to sit down I should explain that according to one of my poetry books Phiilip Grooss wrote the poem "Son and Heir " and he beleived that the world had not got a safer place during the time span it refers to. So when I read the poem in 2003 ( how time flies ) I l aso thought its certainly has not got safer in 'our' childs life time , although our child is a boy my compliment only worked if it was about a female....
May be I should stick to art , but I just love poetry
