little owl

I keep tinkering with this , I have put a moth on but some say I should have put a mouse. I am not sure any one would buy it with a limp mouse!!
Any if Gill sees this , I have tried a number of times to get the right brown........might try a few more yet.

Re: little owl

Good morning Jaki , yes its always the eyes . My grand daughter wanted to know why it had nasty eyes, its weird such a young child ( 6yrs ) can spot the eyes of a hunter. Its not quite finished at the back but as usual I start wanting to do one of the thousand other bird and animals I have on my 'mental' list.
Cheers
Annmaria.

Hi Mike , I will see what I can do , is it the moth you are trying to see because that was more of a challenge than the bird.

Right Mike I have done a close up ( very brave of me , the question is can you tell its a moth and if so what sort) I can still change the moth but not the bird's bits Still need to paint tail feathers.

Re: little owl

Just had a look at the close up Annmaria and your work is outstanding.
Don"t think you need to do anything else to that little beauty.

Umm sounds good to me , right now I will settle for making enough of them before November then the whole thing is not a flop.
Thanks again

No I dont do any Art work but my cousin used to be a flower maker in the ceramic industry here. Sadly there are not many pottery factories left. There were some great Artists who worked in the ceramic industry.

Re: little owl

WOW Annmaria i absolutely love this. Its nice first of all to see something in 3D . I understand its very difficult, as it has to look right from all angles..
I was photographing Adders a couple of days ago & spotted a Little Owl in a tree, i wasn't sure what it was at first as it was darker than others i had photographed some years earlier. Now after seeing this i know its a little owl in fact it may be the same one, you havn't stuck him up a tree to try and fool anyone, have you? I'm going back with my hide in the morning to try and get a photograph.

Hey Wild Man , my head has just fallen off my scrawny neck LOL.
My first bird was a snow bunting from one rear view photo which made the tail look so tiny , like a fool I did a tiny stump. Lesson learned it has to be right all angles otherwise my head stays on !!
Thank you for your very very kind comments.
Cheers
Annmaria
