lens and zoom are needed for those of us *cough* to want to capture such things and cannot paint or draw.

That's beautiful! I love the texture of the background! Is it watercolours?-- I'm not too good with them. Another wonder from Mike! It captures the bird really well; that hawky gaze is enought to give a vole a heart-attack! |

My son was comparing this painting to the original photograph for ages and couldn't believe how good it was, and I quite agree!!
I love the Sparrow hawk and the way you have got the texture on the roof tiles!
Lovely painting, as are all your others!
