I wonder, would you know where I could find any more information on the topic? | Univeristy prospectuses and websites will indicate the research interests of members staff, so have a look at these. Most undergrad courses will include a short research project and you could think to the longer term (i.e. postgrad studies). You might also like to look at voluntary opportunities to support research projects in the UK or abroad. Most projects abroad will require a financial contribution from volunteers as well as their labour. |

I don't know if you've made your decision yet. This thread is quite old now. But have you come across Home page: Graduate jobs, Postgrad study, Work Experience, Graduate Career Information | Prospects.ac.uk, amazing website! Tells you about pretty much every job in every sector and will tell you what to expect in terms of salary, work conditions and career development, as well as what you need to get there!
I would strongly recommend checking it out if you haven't already.
On a personal note, if you do decide to go down the wildlife route, get as much practical experience as you can before you finish uni. Do it right now, its the best way to know what you want to do. Experience is AT LEAST as important as your grades in terms of getting a job, it will help you get a clear idea of what you really want to do early on and will make a big difference at the other end. I'm learning this the hard way!
Good luck!!! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
